Travel Tips
Pack Small
Don’t use your largest suitcase, unless your shipping it! Even if you are traveling for more than a week or so!
I traveled with a group where I had to pack for a full year without even knowing where I was going.
Talk about stressful but I did it and believe me, throughout that year I got so tired of carrying my huge suitcase around!
There are great ways to be able to travel with less luggage.
Part of it is learning how to pack.
With that, you need to know the dress code of places you’ll be visiting.
Dress Code
If you’ll be going to any religious sites you’ll want to make sure you dress appropriately.
Think, covered arms, legs, feet, maybe even head.
Know that you may not be allowed in or have to buy something to help you cover up at a nearby stand, which will be of course expensive!
Now, at a place like the Taj Majal, they don’t allow shoes inside.
I have read they do allow you to keep them on but they must be covered so there is that option or bring a pair of socks.
Pack Light
I am all about light packing.
So the idea is, there are lots of outfits and clothing you own that will go with each other.
Nobody cares what you look like (even if you’re visiting with family) so those jeans you’re wearing can probably be worn several times before needing a wash.
How about your tops?
Those can probably be worn at least twice.
Not only that, I bet you they can be mixed with other bottoms.
Even if you’re needing dressier clothes.
A good pair of black pants will go with anything!!!!
Quick Travel Tip: Invest in space bags. Yes, they work and they will help you organize.
Now, I will admit, shoes can be a problem, especially for us girls.
Thinking here, a specific shoe or sandal for each outfit.
Well, if they are shoes without heels, go for it.
For example, sandals are flat so they don’t take up much space.
If they have heels I’d say try to narrow it down to the ones you really need.
Although there are ways to work around those heels that seem to take up so much room too.

Use space bags on your next trip and save yourself space!
Don’t Stand Out
Don’t wear those bright colored clothes.
Unless you’re going somewhere for a specific festival/celebration, you’ll stand out and everyone will know you’re a tourist!
Be Aware
Look like you know what you’re doing, where you’re going even if you have no clue!
Go into a shop or restaurant if you need to look at a map.
Granted, you probably won’t be the only tourists there but just try not to stand out.
I even did this when I lived in New York.
I didn’t want to stand out or make myself a target so I was always aware of my surroundings and did my best to not look like a tourist.
Learn some words
If you’re traveling to another country, it never hurts to learn some of the local language of wherever you’re going.

Documentation
If you’re traveling to another country make sure you have all your paperwork situated before your trip.
Some countries require visas, and some countries require that you get them before you arrive.
Check whether the country you’re visiting requires a visa.
Check that your passport has more than six months left before it expires.
Some countries won’t allow entry if your passport is expiring within six months of your trip.
And make sure all these documents are in a safe holder.
I own and love this passport holder!
It’s perfect for holding two passports, along with any additional documentation, plus it is RFID protected so you know your passports and ids are safe.

Thank you so much! Happy Travels.
