Soy Sauce Chicken
Ingredients
- Chicken
- Soy sauce
- Garlic
- Flour
- Mushrooms (optional)
How to
Marinade
Simply marinade the chicken with some soy sauce and garlic.
This can be done the day before or right before cooking.
I guess technically you could even marinade it days ahead, just freeze it then thaw it out before cooking.
Cooking
You’ll place some oil into your skillet then cook the chicken.
Feel free to add whatever vegetables you’d like – we typically only add mushrooms.
Add some water and flour to help thicken up the sauce that’s in the skillet.
Once everything is fully cooked and heated it’s ready to be served!
Serving
We normally just serve it with some rice (like in the picture), but you can certainly serve it with potatoes or noodles if that’s more to your families liking 🙂
Also, because of the mushrooms we add we don’t typically add any other vegetables but you certainly could.
Serve warm and watch you family enjoy 🙂
Soy Sauce Chicken
This is such a simple yet delicious chicken dish. Everyone in your family will love it!
- Large skillet
- soy sauce
- minced garlic
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- mushrooms (optional)
First, you'll want to marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic. This can be done the day before or basically right before you cook the chicken.
Add your oil to a large skillet then place the chicken and marinade into the skillet.
Cover and let cook over medium to high heat – about 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the chicken thighs. Turn halfway through.
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the flour mixture.
Mix the flour with enough water to make a 'thick soup'.
Add the flour mixture, mushrooms, and additional water to help thicken up the liquid in the skillet.
Once everything is fully heated up you're ready to serve. Enjoy!
Serve with rice, noodles, or potatoes!
