Did you know there are several different ways to measure your weight loss?
And no, it’s not just a scale!
To be honest, that’s been my number one way for many many years.
Lately I’ve learned about these other ways and wanted to make sure I share those with you.
We’ll get into all the different ways you can, and should be measuring yourself.

Ways To Measure
Scale
Ok, so I know I said there are better ways to measure your weight loss than with a scale, but this is the most common and the one we think of first.
It’s a good start.
And a scale can definitely give you some information when you’re losing weight but beware, it can also be deceptive.
There are so many factors that can contribute to the scale number.
For example water weight, time of the month, bowel movements, etc..

Using A Tape Measure
Of course, you probably know about using a tape measure too.
Many people measure several different parts of their body: arms, chest, stomach, legs, etc.
I personally focus on my chest, waist, and hips.
I measure these once about twice a month when I’m losing weight.
Sometimes this is a better indicator of actual weight loss than the scale.
Although it can also be affected by bloating and our cycle.
How Your Clothes Fit
This one is the one I’m really focused on right now.
I’m not as concerned with the number on the scale, I really just want to fit into a specific pair of jeans and a dress.
So of course that will go along with the tape measuring but will still be different.
How You Feel
Do you feel better?
Lighter?
Have more energy?
Calmer?
Less anxious?
