Did you know that you probably already have all the household cleaning products you need?
Yup, you heard me right!
Unless you just moved into your first apartment/home I will bet anything that you have most of these products and didn’t even know that you can and maybe should be using them to clean.
Why?
Because natural and recyclable is better.
Why go out and spend money on a bunch of chemicals and other harmful cleaning products?
Why not use the products you have at home?
Yes, they will work just as well, if not better than those harsh chemicals you spend money on at the store.

Household cleaning products
Old, holey socks, shirts, towels, washcloths, burp rags, and bibs.
Save all those worn-out clothes and other cloth items.
Repurpose them so they can be used as a cleaning or dust rag in a pinch.
We have a pile of them ourselves.
Old toothbrushes
Save these too!
They are great for helping scrub off dishes, cleaning kitchen, bathroom or floor grout or maybe even those hard to reach places on electronics or in your car.
Side note: Just make sure everyone in the household knows which ones are the ones to brush teeth and ones that are for cleaning.
I have my cleaning ones in an old water jug from the hospital covered by a cleaning cloth under my bathroom sink.
The ‘good’ ones are in our toothbrush holder up on the counter.
Vinegar
Vinegar is probably something you have in your kitchen arsenal but did you know that it’s great for cleaning?
We’ve recently learned that using it in the dishwasher can help with the white film (which we believe is calcium build-up).
Or simply rubbing the dishes and glasses with vinegar will help clear them up.
One site suggests diluting the vinegar with water in different ratios, depending on your needs.
Otherwise, for tougher areas then use it straight.
Lemons
O.k., I admit, this one you might not have readily available at home but they are easy to buy and are a natural alternative.
So, not only will you get the benefit of the great smell of lemons when you use them to clean you will also get great results.
Similar to vinegar, the acidity in the lemon juice and rinds make them great as a household cleaning product.
Use lemons to clean! They are antiseptic and antibacterial!!
Did you know they are antiseptic (fights growth of microorganisms) and antibacterial (fights growth of bacteria)?
Enough said!
Baking soda
Baking soda is a staple in most homes and it has so many uses.
Not only the ones we probably think of the most, for cooking and as an antacid but it’s also great for cleaning.
It’s different from vinegar and lemons since it is an alkali which means it’s the opposite of acidic.
But it can be just as effective as a cleaning agent as those acids.
It is perfect for helping dissolve grease and dirt with water to clean naturally.
An awesome household cleaning product you probably already have!
