Do you wish you had a healthy gift guide to get you or someone in your life started on their health journey?
Or do you know someone who is looking for some healthy gifts to receive this holiday season, to get them started?
I feel like I’ve always been into being healthy.
Now, that’s not to say that I’m always healthy, but I almost always want to be 🙂
I’ve tried many different workouts, including currently doing a plank challenge!!!
There are things about each I enjoy and parts of them that I don’t look forward to.
But in the end, I always feel better when I’m eating healthier and doing some sort of exercise.
That’s why I wanted to share this list with you.
Whether you’re a beginner or not, I’m positive you’ll find something on this list you’ll love!
Let’s get started.

Healthy Gift Guide: Workouts
Tai Cheng
Tai Cheng is an awesome workout for beginners, those recovering from injury or those who are older.
For that matter, it’s perfect for those who want to find a new way to move that includes centering your mind and your breathing.
This version of Tai Chi is broken down, step by step to learn the processes.
It allows even those who are uncoordinated to build confidence.
Not only that, your mobility, stability, and strength will improve without lifting one weight!
I am currently working through this and I love it.
So far the workouts are only on average seven minutes and only include one to two movements so you have plenty of chances to practice them.
Piyo
I consider Piyo a more intermediate workout.
It will definitely get your heart pumping and your muscles working but it’s all low impact.
I started this workout a few months ago when I was really energized to workout.
I got out of the routine near the end of the program but with most of the workouts only 30 minutes long it’s not hard to fit it into your schedule.
P90X3
So, I’m sure you’ve heard of P90X.
P90X3 is the newest version (although it’s been around since 2013).
And I consider this one a great one for those who have been exercising for a while and want to up their game.
It’s definitely a more advanced workout but there’s always a modifier to show you an ‘easier’ way to do the exercises.
The best part of this workout is each one is only 30 minutes too.
That way you can get in and get done without using up your whole day.
Self-care comes in all shapes and sizes. So do we!
Healthy Gift Guide: Accessories
Now let’s talk about some great accessories that should be included in any healthy gift guide.
Foam Roller
If you’ve never tried a foam roller you really need to 🙂
They look so simple, right?
Or they look like they might be torture depending on the ones you see.
P.S. You don’t need to get one of the ones that look like torture, especially if you’re starting out.
Let me tell you this.
They might look simple but they do wonders!
The idea is you use them for self-massage.
Release tension in your muscles and to help with blood flow.
Seriously worth the money!!
Pull-Up Ropes
I can not tell you how useful these have been to me.
If you are someone who struggles to do pull-ups, these will become your next best friend, lol.
This Body By Jake Tower will allow you to practice your pull-ups.
Going through the full movement and working those muscles will ultimately get you to the point of being able to do them on a bar.
And even if pull-ups aren’t your concern, this equipment will allow you to do so many different upper and lower body workouts, you’ll have no excuse.
Mat
A good mat will really benefit your workouts.
We used to have an old school mat that if you were on a carpet it would probably be perfect.
But if you had to use it on any type of hard flooring you wouldn’t want to do even one exercise!
Most yoga mats you can find these days are a huge improvement and will definitely make your workouts more comfortable.
And yes, they can be used for workouts other than yoga 🙂
You can find ones in solid colors, prints and even with an alignment system in case you are doing yoga to help keep you centered.
Weights
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, gain weight or simply to get stronger or build your bones, weights are a must.
Weight lifting will not make you bulky….trust me lol 🙂
I’ve been off and on lifting weights for so many years I should be so big but on the contrary.
It takes a lot of work to get bulky.
But lifting is so beneficial.
- Will help give definition
- Burns more fat, even while at rest
- Helps strengthen bones
When looking for dumbells, you can find light weights, like two and five-pound weights.
And even heavier weights up to 52.5 lbs. and more.
I love my dumbbell set that allows me to go from 2.5 lbs. up to 12.5 lbs. per side.
This adjustable dumbbell set starts at 5 lbs. and goes up to 52.5 lbs by increments of about 2 lbs. until you get up to around 25 lbs.
Not only will this allow you to up your weights as you get stronger but they are so easily adjustable that when you need to switch weights during a workout it’s easy.
There are also wrist/ankle weights that you could simply wear around the house if you don’t want to think about it.
Cooling Cloth
Now, I won’t say that a cooling cloth is an essential item but it sure is helpful.
Not only is it a simple cloth but just add some water and you’re good to go.
It’ll help cool you down during a hot day or an intense workout.
Healthy Gift Guide: Clothes +
Clothes
You’ve got lots of options but let’s just go with a few that’ll get you started.
You’ll want a good pair of comfortable and flexible bottoms, be they shorts or pants.
Of course, the same goes for your top.
Whether you chose to workout in a great sports bra, form-fitting top or loose top make sure you’re comfortable.
Shoes
These, of course, will be determined by what exercise you choose to do.
I’ll be honest, I use my walking shoes for just about every workout except for when I’m doing yoga.
But check out these great running shoes, cross trainers, and yoga options.
In Conclusion
No matter what stage of life you’re in, there is a way for you to be healthy!
And this healthy gift guide has hopefully given you some great ideas.
