We all know kids love them.
And we all know that they’re beneficial for kids.
Not only does it help with hand-eye coordination, but also with fine and gross motor skills.
Gives them a calm quiet environment to destress or be able to de-escalate from a situation.
And we all know there are times when we need an activity for the kids when we need quiet and then to be entertained without the electronics.

Coloring Books for Adults
Benefits
So, we’ve touched on the primary benefits of coloring books for adults above but let’s get more specific!
- Lowers stress, therefore, helping lower cortisol levels.
We are not meant to have constant high cortisol levels, but because of life and all the stress that, especially these days, comes with that, our levels can be out of wack which will increase our chances of depression and heart problems.
- Helps to calm us
Because so many of us have so many things going on, and of course, all at once too, coloring helps center us and give a calm even peaceful moment in all the craziness.

- Aids in better sleep
If we have had a chance to decompress after a busy day, not only will we feel the effects of being calmer but because of that relaxation, it’ll help you sleep better too!
- Can help you refocus
Maybe you’re feeling frustrated with a situation. Using a coloring book can help you, first of all, get your mind off the situation, but then allow you to come back to it with fresh eyes.
- Allow you to be/feel creative
Even if you aren’t or don’t feel like you have any creativity, an adult coloring book can help give you the freedom to explore your creativity.
There is no set way that you have to color in your pictures.
Not only that, there are no assigned colors you even have to use!
You have free reign to play around with it as much as you’d like.
And if your coloring book is actually a printable then you have even more options because if there is one design you really like you can print out that page multiple times and try all the different variations you want!
Now, you’ll have a fun reason to get your kids to pull out their coloring books and sit alongside them and color.
