We’ve all heard it –
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Do you know that person who talks a good talk but when it comes to walking it, kinda falls through?
Are you that person sometimes?
I think, if we’re all honest, we all have been at some point.
You know, that time you say you’ll call someone but you never actually do.
I just read a great quote that helps sum it up too:
“If your actions don’t live up to your words, you have nothing to say.”
It happens, right? As long as it doesn’t happen every time, because….
Actions Do Speak Louder Than Words
How we act says a lot about us, right?
Do you say excuse me when you burp? Are you good at following through on a task when you say you’ll do it?
I try my hardest to not say I’ll do something when I know I have no intention of actually doing it.
It’s not easy, especially when you don’t want to be rude. So, yes, there are times when I say I’ll do something and end up not doing it.
But I try to have that be far and few between.
“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.”

You know why?
Yes, because actions speak louder than words. And what does that also translate into?
When people actually do what they say they’ll do we trust them more, right?
Being accountable!
You know that you can count on that person. And people know that they can count on you.
I’ll leave you with this wonderful quote and thought:
“Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn’t do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore.
Dream.
Discover.”

So, I encourage you this week to take time to find something you talk about doing (a hobby, an interest, a love) and put some action behind it.
It could be a small step. A simple step.
Do some extra research. Buy some supplies. Schedule a time for yourself to ‘work’ on that thing.
Or how about this, actually write it down! Find an awesome journal or notebook and write those words down.
Science has shown that writing things down helps you not only remember things but focus on them, too.
Just do it!!!! 🙂
Do your actions always speak louder than your words? What will you do this week to put action to your words? Please share with us in the comments below so we can all be encouraged. Thanks!!!

This is a motivational post. So many times we find ourselves verbally committing to something and then never following through. I feel this is awesome to bring awareness to our actions (or lack of ha!)
Great post
Ah thanks so much, yea it’s always a struggle! Thanks!!
Such an important message! My father has always said “you are only as good as your word.” We really do need to follow through – our actions are everything. And while we may sometimes fumble it’s so important to do our best to let our actions speak and be someone we are proud to be.
Thank you, as always, for your wonderful insights!
I do agree with you…. and for father!!! Wise words. Thanks lady:)
Thanks for the inspiration!
You’re welcome!
